LU women's tennis falls to Virginia Union and Bowie State

PETERSBURG, Va.
– The Lincoln University women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches on Friday at the CIAA Northern Division Round-up hosted by Virginia State University.
 
The Lady Lions fell, 9-0, to Virginia Union and 6-3 to Bowie State.
 
Against Bowie State, the team of Leslie Red-Bey and Uniquewa Rogers (Trenton, N.J./Pennsbury HS) defeated Iyabode Sodipo and Kassandra Bishop, 8-2 as Lincoln completed doubles action down, 2-1.
 
In singles play, Rogers and Destiny Sample (/) gave the Lady Lions wins, but it wasn't enough to overtake the Lady Bulldogs.
 
Lincoln (2-7 overall, 2-6 CIAA) continues CIAA Northern Division Round-up play on Saturday at Virginia State University.
