Lady Lions can't slow down Lady Rams

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Lincoln University women's basketball team took to the road for the first time since Jan. 5 and fell, 94-44, on Monday night to Winston-Salem State University in a CIAA contest at the C.E. Gaines Center.
 
Cynthia Johnson (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) paced Lincoln (4-12 overall, 0-5 CIAA) with eight points, while Krystal Fluellen (New York, N.Y./Richard Green HS) had seven points as the Lady Lions were 12-of-60 shooting for 20 percent.
 
The Lady Rams, who led 55-16 at the half, had four players reach doubles. Taylar Well led the way with 15 points, while Alisha Hardley added 14 points. Courtney Medley and Taneisha White finished with 13 and 11, respectively, as Winston-Salem State shot 59 percent (36-of-61) from the floor.
 
Lincoln travels to Raleigh, N.C., to take on Shaw University in a CIAA contest. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 19 at C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium. To follow live stats of the game, click the link at: http://livestats.prestosports.com/shaw/
