RICHMOND, Va. – Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) had six kills and Sharay DuBose (Salisbury, Md./Parkside HS) finished with seven assists, but it wasn't enough as the Lincoln University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Virginia Union on Thursday in a CIAA Northern Division showdown.
 
The Lady Panthers swept the match with scores of 25-15, 25-11, 25-16.
 
Besides the six kills, Johnson tallied 10 digs, while Erin Rucker (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights HS) had nine.
 
Aisha Berkley paced Virginia Union with 10 kills and 15 digs.
 
The Lady Lions (0-22 overall, 0-12 CIAA) travels 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7 to Petersburg, Va., to take on Virginia State in a CIAA Northern Division match.
