LU and JCSU women engage in low-scoring affair

Harris had several big buckets in the second half to bring LU within striking distance.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. —
The Lincoln University women's basketball team hung with undefeated No. 24 Johnson C. Smith University through the early part of Saturday's game at Manuel Rivero Hall, but foul trouble inevitably caught up with the Lady Lions in a 58-48 defeat.

Sharay Dubose and DeJuana Mosley (Chester, PA/Chester) led Lincoln despite being limited by foul trouble. Mosley finished with 13 points and Dubose with 10, the only LU players in double digits.

Just after the midway point in the first half, the Lady Lions held a 18-17 lead thinks to a string of consecutive baskets, but after a timeout, Johnson C. Smith fought responded with a run of its own.

In the second half, the deficit ballooned to 15 points, but LU trimmed the deficit to the edge of single digits, but an offense the offense could not get consistently open looks with two of its biggest stars in foul trouble.
