Lincoln's offense has trouble getting started in setback to Chestnut Hill

PHILADELPHIA, PA. (September 4, 2008) – Chestnut Hill's Lauren Riiff scored five goals and added two assists as the host Griffins defeated Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, 8-0, in a women's soccer match Thursday afternoon. (BOXSCORE)

 

Senior Tanina Cook (Landover, MD/Charles H. Flowers) made 19 saves for Lincoln (0-2 overall). Chestnut Hill, coming off an 0-18-1 season, improved its 2008 record to 2-1. Sophomore Shaynita Blanchard (Portmore, Jamaica/Archbishop Carroll) had three of Lincoln's five shots during the game. Junior Antonia Jones (Philadelphia, PA/Northeast) and Adaeze Chikwem (Oxford, PA/Oxford Area) had one shot each for the Lady Lions.


Riiff has scored eight goals in three games for the Griffins.
 

Lincoln returns to action Saturday afternoon when it hosts Goucher College beginning at 1:00 p.m.
