PHILADELPHIA, PA (December 8, 2008) - The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania women's basketball team dropped a 94-39 decision to Philadelphia University Tuesday night at Gallagher Athletic Center. (BOXSCORE)
The Lady Lions were led by freshman guard Sharay Dubose with nine points. This was the first game this season Dubose didn't score in double figures. Freshman forward Alease Tabb started strong for the Lady Lions scoring a career high six points. Tabb also grabbed a career high five rebounds and a steal.
Lincoln had all of its players finish with two or more points. Three players senior Tanina Cook (Landover, MD/Charles H. Flowers), sophomore Keonie Morrisey (Washington, D.C./Frederick Douglas) and freshman Nicole Wilmore finished with four points each. Cook and Wilmore grabbed five rebounds each while Morrisey added an assist.
Other key players for Lincoln were freshman Britny Adams (5 points), sophomore Sasha Evans (Hampton, VA/Phoebus) (3 points, 3 rebounds), senior Angelle Green (Yeadon, PA/Penn Wood) (2 points), and junior Chanelle Harris (Yeadon, PA/Penn Wood) (2 points, 3 assists). Lincoln had five players with at least one steal.
The Lady Lions return to action Saturday December 13th when they face Cheyney at Temple University's McGonigle Hall at 6 p.m.
