Atkinson scored a season-high 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a 73-53 loss to Virginia State Saturday night. It was Lincoln's first game in 12 days. Atkinson, who averages 8.0 points per game for LIncoln, needs 128 points to become the third women's basketball player in Lincoln history to reach 1,000 points for her career. Atkinson has scored in double figures 46 times during her career.
