Denzel Mooney, a native of Baltimore, Md., was selected the Lincoln University Co-Male Athlete of the Week. Mooney had a big week for the Lions by averaging 22.3 points and shot 47 percent (18-of-38) from the floor. He also was 6-12 (50 percent) from behind the 3-point line and 25-of-31 (81 percent) at the free-throw line. Mooney opened the week with a 26-point performance against Goldey-Beacom. He began the Fresh Coast Classic with 17 points against Fisk, but saved his best for the championship game. Mooney poured in 24 points, including 16 in the first half, to lead the Lions past No. 9 Bowie State.
