FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Lincoln University men's tennis team was shutout on Friday afternoon as the Lions lost, 5-0, to Winston-Salem State in a CIAA match at the Fayetteville State University Tennis Courts.

At No. 1 singles, Austin Kische (Yreka, Calif./Yreka HS) fell to Josh Aubrey, 6-2, 6-0, while Creighton Jones blanked Nathaniel Sangster (Port of Spain, Trinidad/Sacred Heart College), 6-0, 6-0. At No. 3 singles, Jethro Spikes (Sarasota, Fla./) fell to Jonathan Aubrey, 6-0, 6-0, and Elias Besong (/) dropped a 6-0, 6-0 decision to Corey Bonnette. Chris Jeter won at No. 5 singles by default to give the Rams the win.

Lincoln returns to action at Noon on Sunday, March 24 at the Lincoln University Tennis Complex against Chowan University in a CIAA Northern Division contest.
