Lincoln University men's outdoor track and field athlete James Richardson (Jersey City, N.J./Raritan Valley Community College) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Corvias Men's Outdoor Track and Field Rookie of the Week for their performance during the week ending April 16, 2017.

In earning his second ECAC Corvias Men's Track and Field Rookie of the Week honor, Richardson equaled his personal-best mark of 1.95 meters (6' 4¾") in the high jump competition at last Saturday's Towson University Invitational.  His jump earned him second place in the competition.    Richardson was previously named ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Rookie of the Week on April 5, 2017.

Richardson is currently ranked fourth on the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association's (CIAA) performance list heading into this weekend's conference championship meet at Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland.

Lincoln men's track and field athletes has earned ECAC Corvias Men's Outdoor Track and Field Rookie of the Week honors  in each of the five weeks of the outdoor season in 2017 and have earned a total of nine ECAC Men's Track and Field weekly honors (Track Athlete, Field Athlete, Rookie) during the 2017 outdoor season.
