The Lincoln University men's cross country team competed Thursday morning at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) cross country championship at Joseph Bryan Park in Richmond, Virginia, placing tenth overall
The Lion harriers scored 202 points, just six points behind ninth place finisher Chowan University. Virginia Union University won the team title with 32 points.
Anthony Watkins (New Castle, DE/Neumann University) was the top finishers amongst the Lincoln five, placing 25
th overall with a time of 31:53.98.Â
Marcus Kinard (York, PA/West York HS) was next to cross the line, placing 30
th overall with a time of 32:24.59
The third Lincoln runner to finish was
Xury Mboya (Willingboro, NJ/Burlington County College). His time of 34:30.42 was good enough for 42
nd place. Rounding out the Lincoln five were
Frederick Sinclair (West Chester, PA/Bayard Rustin HS) and
Deiondre Brown (Coatesville, PA/Coatesville Senior HS). Sinclair ran a personal best time of 35:33.73 and placed 52
nd overall. Brown finished just 13 second behind Sinclair in 53
rd place with a time of 35:46.13
