PETERSBURG, Va. – The Lincoln University men's tennis team opened the season on Saturday with a 9-0 loss at Virginia State in a CIAA contest at the VSU Tennis Courts.
 
Lincoln (0-1) dropped all three doubles matches and six singles matches in the loss. At No. 1 singles, Austin Kische (Yreka, Calif./Yreka HS) lost to Matthew Brown, 6-2, 6-1.
 
The Lions return to action March 15-17 as Lincoln plays host to a CIAA Roundup, which features Johnson C. Smith and Winston Salem State at the brand new Lincoln University Tennis Complex.
