LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa.  — In a dual match shortened due to darkness, the Lincoln University and Chowan University men's tennis teams played to a 3-3 tie.

Elmwood Simon and Alafayo Michiro dominated their doubles match over Lavonte Perkinson and George Ziedan, 8-4.

Lincoln won the third doubles and a singles match due to forfeits.

Michael Sangster (Belize, C.A/Sacred Heart College) and Jordan Owens were entangled in a tight No. 1 singles match before Owens grinded out an 8-5 win.

“It was our first match, so it took a little time to get used to it,” Sangster said. “I thought I played pretty well.”
