NEWARK, Del — Tarem Cannonier (Greensburg, NY/Woodlands) and Vincent Thomas (Colmbia, PA/Columbia ) placed side by side as the Lions finished in a cohesive pack Saturday at the Blue and Gold Invitational hosted by the University of Delaware.
Cannonier placed 66th and Thomas 67th in Lincoln's most final — and most difficult — meet of 2009. William Andrew (Danbury, CT/Danbury ) (70th) Todd Mason (San Diego, CA/Edgewood High) (78th) Len'l Russel (80th) earned Lincoln a total of 361 points, good for 13th.
George Mason, behind the strength of three top-five finishes dominated the meet with 30 points, while the Blue Hens took second on their home course.
The meet closes 2009 while the Lions enjoy a break through November the Indoor Track and Field Season commences in December.
