PHILADELPHIA, PA. (September 27, 2008) – The Lincoln University men’s cross-country team finished 11th overall and had four runners finish among the top 100 during the annual Belmont Classic Cross-Country meet. (RESULTS)
The Lions top finisher was sophomore English major Vincent Thomas (Columbia, PA/Columbia), who placed 31st in a time of 29 minutes, 21.321 seconds. The other runners to place in the top 100 were sophomore health science major Tarem Cannonier (Greenburgh, PA/Woodlands), sophomore mathematics major Diedre Mcloud (Fort Lauderdale, FL/South Plantation) and freshman business major William Andrew (Danbury, CT/Danbury).
Cannonier was 63rd in a time of 30:56.61. Mcloud crossed the finish line in 79th place in 31:56.20. Andrew was 97th (32:54.20).
Lincoln finished ahead of eight schools. Felician College edged Philadelphia University, 51-88 to win the meet.
Other Lincoln finishers were Jonathan Hill (103rd, 33:29.19), Nuradyin King (112th, 34:06.87), Todd Mason (115th, 34:09.89), Len’l Russell (120th, 34:40.26), and Alex Wright (141st, 37:29.93).
